In the spirit of service, not self, the mission of the American Legion Auxiliary is to support The American Legion and to honor the sacrifice of those who serve by enhancing the lives of our veterans, military andtheir families, both at home and abroad.  For God and Country, we advocate for veterans, educate our citizens, mentor youth and promote patriotism, good citizenship, peace and security.

Q: I am related to someone who served on active duty during one of the membership eligibilty dates. Can I join the Auxiliary of The American Legion?

A: If your relative who served on active duty during one of the membership eligibility dates and is a member of The American Legion, you may join the American Legion Auxiliary of The American Legion.  However, if the qualifying Veteran is deceased you may join the appropriate organization, even if the qualifying Veteran was not a member of The American Legion when living.

As of May 22, 2019, we have receivedd 220 mail in renewals, 32 online renewals and 22 new members for a total of 274.  We are at 96% of last year's achievement.  If you have not renewed for the 2019 membership year, please do so as soon as possible.  Without members like you, the Auxiliary is unable to fulfill it's mission of supporting our veterans.

There are several ways to renew:

1) You may leave $25.00 in a membership envelope, complete all information on the label, and give it to the bartender on duty at Post 10; or

2) Mail your payment of $25.00 to AL Auxiliary Unit 10, 9950 Cockrell Rd., Manassas, VA 20110 and include your current address, telephone number, and e-mail address; or

3) Renew on-line at www.ALAforVeterans.org You will be able to print a temporary card or receipt.  However, this is not your official card so do not have it laminated.  I will mail you the official card; or

4) Call National Headquarters to pay by phone.
